1906 to Present

The American Political Science Review (APSR) is the longest running publication of the American Political Science Association (APSA). APSR, first published in November 1906 and appearing quarterly, is the preeminent political science journal in the United States and internationally. APSR features research from all fields of political science and contains an extensive book review section of the discipline.

British Journal of Politics and International Relations
1999 to Present

The British Journal of Politics and International Relations (BJPIR) is an international journal that publishes peer-reviewed, cutting edge scholarship across the full breadth of the fields of international relations, comparative politics, public policy, political theory and politics. As a flagship journal of the UK’s Political Studies Association, BJPIR is the world’s premier outlet for research on British politics.

Harvard International Review
1979 to Present

The HIR features underappreciated topics in the international affairs discourse and underappreciated perspectives on more widely discussed topics, and aims to serve as a trend-setter among similar publications by directing rather than following the public’s attention. The HIR is more a source of analysis than a source of news or editorial commentary. Its main purpose is not to present facts previously unreported elsewhere.

Journal of Public Administration, Research and Theory
1991 to Present

The Journal of Public Administration Research and Theory seeks to advance public administration scholarship by publishing the highest quality theoretical and empirical work in the field. The journal is multidisciplinary and includes within its scope organizational, administrative, managerial, and policy-based research that improves our understanding of the public sector. 

Cultural Politics
2005 to Present

Moving beyond the boundaries of race, gender, and class, Cultural Politics examines the political ramifications of global cultural productions across artistic and academic disciplines. The journal explores precisely what is cultural about politics and what is political about culture by bringing together text and visual art that offer diverse modes of engagement with theory, cultural production, and politics.

Administration and Society
1974 to Present

Administration & Society (AAS) published 10 times/year, seeks to further the understanding of public and human service organizations, their administrative processes, and their effect on society. Empirical research reports and theoretical articles provide thoughtful and significant analyses of administrative issues at the federal, state and local levels.

Political Studies
1976 to Present

Political Studies is a leading international journal in politics and international relations scholarship. Political Studies is not constrained by any particular methodological or theoretical framework and encourages a pluralistic approach to politics and international relations. Innovative submissions, which cross and challenge traditional discipline boundaries, reconsider the relationship between international and domestic politics or offer a fresh comparative perspective, are particularly welcome.

International Journal of Politics, Culture and Society
1987 to Present

International Journal of Politics, Culture, and Society publishes original peer-reviewed papers on issues that arise at the intersections of nations, states, civil societies, and global institutions and processes.
Themes examined in the journal include: changing patterns in world economic and political institutions; new configurations of ethnic groups, social classes, religions, personal networks, and special interests; the social effects of changes in mass culture, propaganda, and technologies of communication; and the impact of social transformations on the changing order of public and private life.

Comparative Migration Studies
2013 to Present

Comparative Migration Studies (CMS) is an international, peer-reviewed open access journal that provides a platform for articles that focus on comparative research in migration, integration, and race and ethnic relations.

Topics include, but are not limited to: migration and integration in relation to citizenship, national identity, refugee and asylum policy, social movements (pro and anti-immigration), gender, racialization, whiteness, ethnic and religious diversity and (post)colonialism.

Against the Current
2008 to Present

"Against the Current is the analytical and activist journal sponsored by Solidarity. As part of our larger project of regroupment and dialogue within the U.S. Left, the journal presents varying points of view on a wide variety of issues. As such, debates are frequent and informative, with the goal of promoting discussion among activists, organizers, and scholars on the Left."

The Journal of Theoretical Politics is an international peer reviewed journal one of whose principal aims is to foster the development of theory in the study of political processes. JTP provides a forum for the publication of original papers seeking to make genuinely theoretical contributions to the study of politics.

Review of International Studies
1975 to Present

The aim of the Review of International Studies is to promote the analysis and understanding of international relations. The RIS is designed to serve the needs of students and scholars interested in every aspect of international studies, including the political, economic, philosophical, legal, ethical, historical, military, cultural and technological dimensions of the subject. 

The Review of International Studies is the official journal of the British International Studies Association.

Anarchist Studies
2007 to Present

Anarchist Studies is an inter- and multi-disciplinary journal of anarchism research, which has been publishing novel, refreshing and provocative arguments for over twenty years. The journal publishes original research on the history, culture, theory and practice of anarchism, as well as reviews of recent work published in the field.
