Tool: LibraryThing: Home

Alongside our catalogue we hold a LibraryThing account in which we group picture books in our Junior Library together by a common theme or other reasoning. This guide explains how we use LibraryThing and how you might access it for your own purposes.

Because LibraryThing points to items in our Junior Library as well as items on our wish list, always cross-check availability with our online catalogue.

Students preparing for School Placement often ask us for picture books on a theme.  LibraryThing showcases books in our Junior Library and on our wish list by theme, topic, even curriculum strand. It is a discovery tool for what children's books are out there and today it points to 5000+ titles. It may be of particular interest to BEds and those studying for a Masters in children's literature.
