The Booker Prize in DCU Library

Introduction

Established in 1969, The Booker Prize is the one of the world’s most influential prizes for a single work of fiction. Six books are shortlisted from a longlist each year by a panel of expert judges. The winner, who will receive £50,000, is announced in November.

The 2025 winner was David Szalay with his novel Flesh. Click on the 2025 tab to view this year's shortlisted books and to check their availability in DCU Library.

During November 2025 you can borrow the books from the Booker Prize stand on the ground floor of O'Reilly Library and Cregan Library. From December you'll find the available titles on the shelves.

For more information about how to find a print book in the library, watch our Locating books on the shelf video.
